P&G: Crest Toothpaste, 1970s

Transcription: Narrator We at Crest toothpaste did not have 0:01 a major role in the Apollo space program. 0:04 (rocket rumbling) 0:07 But the Air Force and space scientists did ask our help 0:21 in building a special toothpaste. 0:23 No earthbound toothpaste like Crest would work, 0:26 because in a weightless cabin, an astronaut has to keep 0:29 his mouth closed while brushing. 0:33 So a special non-foaming toothpaste was developed 0:35 that could be swallowed after brushing. 0:38 This is the toothpaste. 0:41 The astronauts tried to brush with it at least twice 0:43 a day in space. 0:45 The people who make Crest are dedicated to the goal 0:47 of getting rid of cavities on Earth. 0:50 It makes us feel good to know we've helped come up 0:52 with something to clean teeth so cavities can't get started 0:54 in outer space. 0:58
