Description: Resumes the chronicle 16 years later, when Kizzy tries to help a young slave escape, but is discovered and sold as punishment. Shows the horror of separation from her family, magnified as she is raped by Tom Moore, her new owner, and, imbued with a lasting hatred, vows to have a son who will grow up to exact vengeance on Moore.
