Roots, Episode 3: The Slave, Part 1

Portrays the slaves' rebellion, a bloody confrontation quickly put down with losses to both sides. Shows the arrival of the Lord Ligonier in Annapolis harbor and the auction of the 98 slaves still alive. Details the sale of Kunta to John Reynolds, who renames him "Toby", which Kunta refuses to acknowledge.
