Description: Tanner describes this film as a dramatic tragicomedy in political science fiction. He combines color, black and white, songs, skits, economics, dreams, sidebars, speeches and sexual experimentation to tell the story of eight disillusioned veterans of 1968 whose paths briefly cross. In a period of alleged historical stasis, the director, together with Marxist art critic John Berger, presents a series of utopian vignettes as a rebuke to the complacency of the Swiss bourgeoisie.
