Susan Sontag interprets the sights and sounds, records the feelings, and analyzes the political situation in Israel. The film was shot in Israel in October/November 1973 on the battlefields of the Golan Heights, in the Sinai Desert, along the Suez Canal as well as in the Gaza Strip and the cities of the rear.
