Description: Once the seething metropolis of profiteering western colonialism, Shanghai is now considered the stronghold of the Cultural Revolution, an important center of governmental, industrial and commercial affairs. Proceeding down an expansive boulevard, the camera peeks into a bakery and arrives at the port where a festive ship-launching is taking place. Two policemen discuss accident prevention and traffic regulation in terms of political consciousness-raising and revolutionary duty.
