Description: A poor old Paris seamstress nurtures a potted string bean plant in her apartment. Sunning and watering it is her sole diversion in the tiny Paris lodging in which she sews handbags for her livelihood. The ultimate fate of the plant and the act of faith and optimism of its guardian form the slender narrative thread of the wordless film poem.
