Description: Shows how Alfred Nobel accidentally discovers dynamited while searching for a way to harness nitroglycerine. When his discovery is used for purposes of war, Nobel turns his attention to ways and means of preventing war. He concludes that the road to peace leads from the council table, not the battlefield. Nobel, therefore, sets up Nobel Prize awards to leaders in different fields for their contributions to word peace.
