Description: This excerpt from the feature film dramatizes the initial struggle between the cattlemen and the farmers for the grasslands of the Southwest. When a wealthy cattleman protests the plowing up of the precious sod, he is overruled by the courts and forced to allow settlers on land he has controlled. Final scenes indicate the terrifying dust bowl conditions later created by prolonged droughts.
