Explains that Dr. Denner believes Otto is not coping with getting old and that he sees Otto moving away from mature reactions, over-reacting, and using defense mechanisms. Reports that, for Otto, the reality principle has broken down and that, as Otto's analyst, Dr. Denner would act as a transfer figure and take on properties of early figures in Otto's life so that Otto could work out his early conflicts.
