Otto: The Behavioral Perspective

Presents Dr. John Gottman of Indiana University as he interprets the Otto case film from the behavioral perspective. Explains that Dr. Gottman sees Otto coping with catastrophic expectations by trying to be all things to all people and that Otto does not see people as resources to help him cope with stress. Reports that, in terms of treatment, Dr. Gottman would align himself with Otto's goals and Otto's perception of things as he believes Otto would benefit from social skills training both in terms of his work and his marriage.
