Description: This animated fable, composed of complex patterns of paint and paper, is a study of the impersonalization and ultimate absurdity of modern industrial society. In a weird, subterranean civilization, people resembling automatons file to work. The only sympathetic creatures are a blind man playing a barrel-organ and his dog. When the dog is caught up in the assembly line, will anybody notice? Mimica delineates the harsh contours of a Satanic world and shows how fragile human contact can be in a metropolis where eating, drinking, and working constitute an implacable routine.
