Welcome to Miami Cubanos

At 15, Mike Lopez desperately wants to fit in with the American members of his swim team. However, he is continually made to feel like an outsider by some of the boys' objections to a nearby camp of Cuban refugees. When his cousin Tito arrives from Cuba bringing with him his unmistakable Cuban attitudes and dress, Mike must come to terms with his own feelings of being Cuban and American.
