Description: Professor Higgenbottom, a puppet character, poses problems about the flight of baseballs, bowlng balls, beach balls, soccer balls, and even cannon balls. His young TV audience tries to find the answers to the three factors involved: how hard it is to get a ball started, how fast the ball moves through the air, and how hard it is to bring the ball to a stop. Each approaches the problems from different angles: an interview with a baseball coach; an experiment with a homemade, spring-loaded catapult; propelling missiles of different sizes; weights from a sling-shot; and reading about pitching, mass, weight, and momentum.
