Description: Emphasizes that resistance of the soil to plowing largely depends on the condition of the surface and good cover. Shows that land should be cultivated so that the surface is left covered with crop residues and that when cover is gone, tillage that leaves clods on the surface will reduce plowing temporarily. Explains that the cropping system should have growing crops or residue cover on the land during the time of high winds and that needed conservation practices should be installed. Shows the implements to use.
