Explains important steps to take to restore successful stands of grass in the Great Plains--select high quality seed of adapted species, prepare in firm seedbed with mulch cover or seed in standing dead cover, drill seed at proper depth during the right season of the year, control weed competition of grass seedlings and defer grazing until grasses are well established.
