Using actors and actual court testimony, dramatizes the Chicago Conspiracy Trial of 1969, in which eight defendants were indicted under the 1968 federal anti-riot act which makes it a crime to cross a state line with the intent to incite a riot. It started with thousands of dissidents converging on Chicago to express contempt for the system, the Democratic Party Convention, the Vietnam War and the quality of American life.
