In a jazz way: a portrait of Mura Dehn

A portrait of 82-year-old Mura Dehn, a Russian immigrant jazz dancer and filmmaker. Dehn studied dance in Vienna and presented jazz movements for the first time on a concert stage. Moving to New York, Dehn was drawn to the Black jazz dancers who performed at such clubs as the Harlem's Savoy Ballroom. Excerpts from her film The Spirit Moves, documenting the Lindy Hop and Be Bop dances, are included.
