Mattie Siles, a widow of means, lives alone in the Florida backwoods during Prohibition. A young dandy, down on his luck, learns of her situation and convinces her to marry him. After they are wed, Trax reveals his true intentions by building a still on her land. When he brings home a young girlfriend, the gal young 'un, Mattie regains her self-reliance and takes control of her future. (Circulates)
