Description: In the early days of World War II, Rodney Tucker Jr. resents being pressured by his family to volunteer for the army. On the radio, his girlfriend Martha Adams sings as part of a recruiting rally, and later berates him for not joining the war effort. Rodney's indecision is nullifed when he is inducted and sent to an Army base at Fort Watchuga, Arizona. When his superior Sergeant Keen invites him to his room, Rodney is angered when he hears Martha dedicate a song to Keen on the radio. Going a.w.ol., Rodney embarks on an adventure, discovering his long-lost father aboard a freight train and stumbling upon a secret Japanese surveillance camp in the Arizona desert. Even Rodney's grandfather becomes involved in the action-packed finale.
