Illustrates the advantages of a two pan, air damped analytical balance for accurate measuring of samples ranging from 200 grams to .0001 gram. Shows how the air damping cylinders that eliminate beam swing permit more rapid measuring than less sensitive balances. Demonstrates proper procedures for use of pan arrests pans, beam weights, optical scale and varnier in determining the weight of a sample.
