Description: Explains that, at the time of birth, this patient was found to have a mass in the right flank and a positive diagnosis of a marked hydronephrosis in a solitary kidney was made by the introduction of x-ray media through a silastic tube that was introduced into the umbilical vein. Shows that the side-to-side anastomosis was the procedure of choice and was extremely successful.
