Description: This documentary continues the filmmakers' chronicle of Long Bow, a village in northern China, and centers on Dr. Shen, a medical care practitioner who holds an influential position in town even though his Catholicism sets him apart from his neighbors. Dr. Shen uses acupuncture, herbal remedies and certain western medical procedures. The doctor displays his medicinal cures, revealing the curative properties of snakes, scorpions, gold and pearls.
