This investigative documentary, based on a case study of chemical pollution in local drinking water, highlights a serious state and national problem. In Spring 1975, Frank Kaler, who lives next to a chemical dumpsite in South Brunswick, New Jersey, was convinced that something was wrong with the water supply when vegetables cooked in it turned black and family members suffered nausea and skin lesions from its use. The filmmaker follows Kaler as he petitions governmental agencies to take action against this dire environmental threat.
