Explains how man has used his intelligence to overcome physical limitations of his eye by inventing instruments which extends sight into otherwise unseen worlds -- an incredible array of life and matter, of shapes and forms, of color and movement. Microscropes allow us to see the world of the very small and have made possible the discover of sturcture and behavior of cells, single-celled animals, parts of cells and even macromolecules within the parts of cells. Concludes with the question: “What secrets lie beyond our present view and understanding of the unseen world?"
