Description: Teaching Film Custodians release of a Cavalcade of America television episode, "The Paper Sword" (season 2, episode 27), which first aired April 27th, 1954 on ABC-TV. In 1850, James King, a fearless newspaper editor, exposes the corruption of officials of the municipal government in his news columns and editorials. Unable to bribe or intimidate him, the criminals in office kill King. The murder arouses the public and sets in motion a sweeping reform movement.
