The Ona people: life and death in Tierra del Fuego

Explores the culture, history and eventual decline of a now extinct group of hunters and gatherers in Tierra del Fuego. Using old photographs and oral histories, the film re-enacts the Ona (Selk'nam) Indians' once flourishing civilization, and chronicles its tragic extermination in the early 1900's at the hands of foreign explorers and immigrants.
