A traditional Ojibway legend is related by storyteller Basil Johnston to the children of the Wandering Spirit Survival school. As the story unfolds, the characters, played by marionettes, take on real-life personalities. A man walking in the forest is tricked into freeing a serpent with the head of a wolf. The snake attacks the man who is finally rescued by a fox. The man, grateful for his rescue, asks the fox how he can repay him to which the fox advises, Don't make promises you might not be able to keep.
