Produced through the facilities of the United Nations, this program reports on starvation throughout the world, specifically profiling India, the Phillipines, Ceylon [Sri Lanka], Pakistan and Indonesia. The program examines whether food-surplus shipments to underdeveloped nations and the introduction of birth-control practices are sufficient to halt spreading starvation and questions whether the food crises can be solved independent of a general economic development and technological revolution. McGovern; Raul Prebisch, director of the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development; Arthur Goldschmidt, economist with the U.N.
