Description: Introduces the problems of the urban poor in the U.S. and explains who the poor are, where they are, and the reasons for their dilemma. The environment of the typical urban poor people is documented to demonstrate the cycle of entrapment, beginning at birth and propagated from generation to generation, which robs them of motivation at an early age. Shows the futility of any struggle to better themselves as well as government and private agencies to find a way out of poverty.
