The Big Apple Story

Filmed in the late 1970s in the immediate aftermath of New York City’s near-bankruptcy, The Big Apple Story is an offbeat fable reflecting the political and economic condition of New York during the fiscal crisis. This film, edited in 1987, is an abbreviated version of an original work entitled Clockwork Apple made by the filmmakers in 1978.
Local Note The shadowy ghosting in this print is a defect caused by isolated fading in the original film resultant from its laboratory processing.
