Description: Winkler uses an in-camera matting technique to present a choreographic study of Australia's Sydney Harbour Bridge. Beginning with a panoramic view of the bridge popular in tourist postcards, the filmmaker manipulates the image in complex transpositions. At one point, the screen is divided into horizontal stripes each containing pan shots of the bridge with movements in opposing directions. At another, a long-shot of the structure is combined with shots of the glimmering water. In another section, the screen is segmented into sixteen square images each containing pans of the bridge's metal structure. A soundtrack of tinkling bells accentuates the film's fluidity of light and movement.
