Description: Shows animals which are trained, using the Lashley jumping technique, to respond to the smaller of two black circular areas in a gray background. Depicts the animals being tested to determine the preferences for patterns which differ partially from the original stimuli, in order to discover the attributes of the original pattern which determined the animal's choices. Illustrates Kluever's concept of equivalent stimuli and its relation to the study of perception and transfer of training animals.
