Description: This animated fantasy charts the curious life cycle of beings on an alien planet. Though their Language is strange and their features odd and horse-like, their nature is very human. The creatures must skillfully maneuver their pedal-powered airships to harpoon their skywhale prey, which they then carry back to their floating island home. When one member of the tribe falls ill after a hunt, those around him bow their heads and cover their eyes as he makes his way to a hole in the center of the island and falls into it. When morning comes, the ill being, having passed through the island in a newly-formed cacoon, emerges from the bottom of the floating colony, now a determined-looking skywhale himself.
