Presents a comparative behavior study of preschool children at four age levels in a variety of casual and planned groups at the Iowa Child Welfare Research Station. Observes the normal adjustment of a new boy to the Station, the children studying the anatomy of and feeding pet animals, swimming, hammering, hoeing, responding to music, playing imaginative games such as house and fireman, and dramatizing "Hansel and Gretel."
