Description: Taking its title from the insignia which gay men were required to wear in Nazi concentration camps, this documentary explores the ways in which society manifests its hatred of homosexuals. The persecution of homosexuals is traced from medieval woodcuts to newsreel footage of the Nazi and McCarthy eras to present-day denouncements by members of the Far Right. In response to this discrimination, a number of lesbians and gays are wearing the pink triangle as a symbol of their solidarity.
