Reports on a national problem of growing urgency-the threat of extinction to 78 species of wildlife. Field trips show the plight of five such species-the Florida Key deer, the whooping crane, Kirtland’s warbler, the timber wolf, and the bald eagle-and the efforts of various conservation agencies to preserve them. Stresses the need for a more concerned, more cooperative public.
