Employing the innovative technique of clay painting, artist/filmmaker Joan Gratz takes the viewer on a colorful journey through modern art. Starting with the landscapes and self-portraits of impressionism, this animated film moves through cubism and surrealism and concludes with contemporary pop art and hyper-realism. It features 55 paintings and 35 artists from Van Gogh to Warhol.
