Complete Record: The film condenses the months of preparation required to put together a large scale live television show - in this case, the annual Emmy Awards presentations. In a brief prologue we are introduced to the men most responsible for the show’s realization, the producer and the director. Then we are given glimpses of the first writers’ meeting, technical preparations. dance rehearsals and finally the problems and pressures faced by the director as he “calls” the show from the booth. the film provides a beginning understanding of the abilities needed by those responsible for such a production and the great variety of skills and human qualities involved.
