Complete Record: At a horse farm in winter, a foal is born into the warmth of a hay stall while the father energetically runs in the snow-covered fields outside. In spring, the young colt is seen as he prances and frolics through green pastures, and as autumn approaches, the yearling is taken to the auction. Once sold, patient training and exercise prepare the thoroughbred for life at the track. During his first race, depicted in slow motion, everything he has been taught is synthesized into one valiant effort.
