Includes family scenes at the beach and other locations, footage of the Los Angeles flood of 1938, a vacation in Switzerland, and very brief shots of Norma Shearer in costume for the film Marie Antoinette. People featured in the footage include: Douglas Fairbanks and his wife Sylvia Ashley (Lauretta Edlund's sister), Fay Wray, Merle Oberon, Paulette Goddard, Edmund Goulding, Norma Shearer, Rose Warwick, Gloria Swanson, Liz Allen, Herbert Marshall, Charlie Chaplin, Constance Bennett, Cedric Gibbons, Rose Fiske, Billy Fiske, John Buckmaster, Gilbert Roland, Kay Francis, as well as unidentified people, including children, who were presumably friends and family of Fairbanks and Ashley. Locations include the home of Douglas Fairbanks in Santa Monica, California; Edmund Goulding's home and Darryl Zanuck's home, both in Palm Springs, California; and Switzerland, including the hotel at Muottas Muragl. Some footage has been confirmed to be 1938 and 1939, but not all footage appears to have been shot at the same time.
