Description: Description: Everyday life with children and joy in a Black neighborhood in Newport News, Virginia. Created in a softly atmospheric mode by an affectionate adult taking pleasure in seeing young people come home from school in the afternoons and play ball in the streets on weekends and in summer, and who appreciates the changes of the seasons and different kinds of light. With neighborhood scenes of people going to church and being at work, and with a visit to the waterfront and shopping. Short segments from Yogi Bear, Space Ghost, Atom Ant, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Popeye cartoons are spliced in near the end of the reel.
