Description: Presents the pop artist Jasper Johns in an interview in which he discusses his ideas about art; interspersed with scenes in which he is working on various works. Shows some of the flag paintings which anticipated the pop art movement of which he is one of the fathers. Includes examples of his subject matter--targets, flags, numbers, words, and maps. Depicts him working with encaustic medium in which the pigments are mixed with molten wax.
