Description: Filmed in 1936 by a German-American family who visited Berlin and other German cities, these home movies provide a great look at the Third Reich as it might have appeared to a tourist. The film shows a trip down the Rhine River to see various famous tourist sights, and includes images of Cologne including the famed cathedral at the 1:30 mark. Many images in the film are of the Rhine and its castles, with glorious vistas throughout. One of the most interesting moments in the film is at the 13:30 mark, where a group of people simultaneously raise their arms in Nazi salute. Hopefully some viewers can add information about the film in the comments to identify locations shown in the movie.
