Description: Titled "Helen and Jean in Orbit" and "28 Days Around the World," this reel shows two women filming the world and one another as they circumnavigate the globe by jet, celebrating the jet age and their own freedom to travel with stops in Hawai'i, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, then India and Lebanon, followed by Greece, Italy, and Paris. Most sequences occur within the framework of organized tours, with many side trips by bus and by boat. The women cover an incredible array of places with close attention to the lives and environments of ordinary people wherever they go as well as to monumental architecture.
