This fully hand-drawn film provides a poetic examination of landform dynamics, catastrophe, and change. This animated lyric arises from a scientific metaphor but is changed by Battaglia's personal drawing style, a style which details edge definition, transformation, vectors of action, and states of subjective repose. Like the geologist's term, catastrophic equilibrium, [the film] is about nature, time and perception.
