Fundi is a Swahili word describing that person in a community who passes on skills from one generation to another. This is a portrait of Ella Baker, a 78-year-old Black woman who helped shape the civil rights movement of the 1960's. Documents her work as executive director of Martin Luther King's Southern Christian Leadership Conference and founder of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.
