From Genes To Brains To Books

Points out that evolution requires that ever increasing quantities of information be stored in the brain. Shows that when genes became inadequate to this task, nature invented the neuron and that as the libraries of the brain have become overloaded, man has created symbolic communication, writing, to create libraries which house the accrued information of generations.
