Description: Attempts to show the continuity of Egyptian culture from the time of the pharaohs to the present day. Juxtaposes ancient tomb paintings with scenes from modern Egyptian villages, farms, and workshops in order to demonstrate their similarities. Points out the physical resemblances between modern Egyptians and the people depicted in the ancient art of Egypt. Shows some scenes of modern Cairo, including Cairo International Airport and a night club. States that Egypt is a land of contrasts and a country where the present has been reconciled with the past.
