Depression: The Shadowed Valley

Examines depression from its mildest forms to suicide, its most tragic result, and explores varying forms of treatment including psychotherapy, electro-convulsive therapy, and antidepressive drugs. Presents victims of depression discussing how their emotional problems developed, how they feel, and what is being done to help them. Points out that the symptoms that characterize a severe depression include sleeplessness, loss of appetite, inability to concentrate, withdrawl from friends, and suicidal ideas.
